Chelsea have continued to under-perform in the second week of the English Premier League, recording a disastrous 0-3 defeat against one of their main rivals, Manchester City, but, apart from that, there weren't any truly shocking results that one should take a look at. Surprisingly, Leicester are still in the leading pack, which is pretty impressive considering how small a team they are, but they will face a very tough team in the upcoming round, as they are going to play against Tottenham at home.

That match has actually caught our attention betting-wise as well, as we think that there could be a few goals in that clash. Tottenham are great up front with plenty of amazing strikers, while Leicester are currently in a state of mind that won't allow them to stay passive and defensive, which means that it's impossible to imagine this being a closed game. At 1.81 with Unibet, we'll say that there will be three or more goals.

We are also going to continue supporting Crystal Palace, who were actually slightly unlucky to lose against Arsenal in the second round. Despite that defeat, they are still a force to be reckoned with and they will surely enjoy playing back-to-back home matches, especially since they will now be up against a less testing team in Aston Villa. To be fair, Aston Villa have been surprisingly solid so far, winning 1-0 against Bournemouth and losing 0-1 against Manchester United, but that's likely to unravel now that they will meet an ambitious team that's also playing with plenty of momentum. At 1.85 with Unibet, we're willing to back the home victory.

The one team that could easily continue to struggle big time is Sunderland. They had to work really hard in order to avoid relegation in the previous season and their work is already cut out for the next couple of months as well, since points will be very hard to come by in this environment. After the first two rounds, they are sitting in the last place with an unflattering 3-7 goal record, something that's likely to get worse next weekend, as they'll host Swansea, the team that started Chelsea's misery and which then followed that up with a nice 2-0 victory against Newcastle. It's never easy to go against home sides in the English Premier League, but Betway are offering 2.05 for Swansea and that's a price we're more than happy to take.

On Sunday, we're going to have a play on Everton enduring the Manchester City onslaught and getting at least one point in the process. Recent encounters between the two sides have generally been pretty tight and Everton tend to be rock-solid at home, so the current odds simply seem to be an overreaction to what we witnessed in the Chelsea - Manchester city match last weekend. BetVictor are offering the best odds (2.26) for the +0.5 handicap.
