Can Juventus finally win at home? Tonight's rival, Cagliari, is undefeated, so far. Cagliari won at home against Roma, 5:1, and played even three matches draw, all three without goals - away with Palermo and Bari, and at home with Sampdoria. So, it seems that Cagliari has very strong defense. Their opponents in the previous rounds were the teams that are not characterized by high efficiency, except Palermo, but Palermo was an opponent in the first round. For tonight's match are missing midfielder Alex Pinardi and Daniele Conti.
Juventus played from the glory to despair. After sensational defeat at home against Bari in the first round, they finished draw their first away match, in Genoa against Sampdoria, 3:3. On that match Juventus led twice, but their defense wasn't enough strong to save the advantage. Then came a great performance of Juventus and convincing victory in Udine, 4-0. And when we were all expecting series of victories, there was followed by another loss at home. This time against Palermo, 1-3. Now, victory is the question to be or not be for coach Del Neri. Another failure could be his exit ticket from the club. The most serious candidate for Serie A title, Inter, lost yesterday, and Juventus have a big chance to catch up them. Two defeats at home at start of the championship could be irreparable loss. The draw would not have been any better. There aren't new absences in Juventus, and they have and for all but a victory in this match can't be excuses.
