Detroit Red Wings started with two victories, at home 4:0 against Anaheim Ducks and in Chicago 3:2 against Blackhawks. Good results are expected last years, but anyway a victory in Chicago, against the defending Stanley Cup champ, is great success and it shows us that Red Wings have come in seriously in new season. For tonight's match Red Wings cannot count on defender Jonathan Ericsson an forwards Kris Draper and Justin Abdelkader. They could be in combination for roster, but I do not believe that they will play.
On the other hand, Colorado Avalanche didn't win in regular part of the match on the previous two matches. They won against Chicago Blackhawks 4:3, but after OT. Anyway, it was a good result. On the next match, away, against Philadelphia they caught advantage of Detroit two times, but they hung on to the end.
These two teams played four times last year, and each of them won twice. Tonight, it seems that home team is in a little bit better shape for another victory.
