Melzer is currently playing his match in singles so it's the big question what will be with doubles match which he should be playing against Bopanna/Qureshi. This double is very interesting to the public because tennis is found to be possible to unite the warring factions, in this case Pakistan and India.
Otherwise this is a very good doubles despite not having any particular ranking, but I watched them on US Open where reached the finals but lost to the Bryan brothers. Preliminary they played the finals in New Haven, which means that their game on hard is very good. They had a big break since US Open but already have two matches in Shanghai and won two excellent doubles while not losing any set.
Melzer will be exhausted after a single match and it is certain that if the pass is intended to go as far away as the tournament got into finals. He beat Nadal here in three sets but now he have problems with Monaco( Monaco currently has service to 1-1 in sets). Melzer here plays in doubles with Paes, known men's doubles, but his real partner is Petzschner who is his the best friend either.
I think we should try to Bopanna/Qureshi win because their games lately is certainly deserved.
For the last five tournaments(on hard, after Wimbledon) they played two semi-finals (LA and Washington) and two finals (U.S. Open and New Haven), which is really respectable result . In this situation, when Melzer was burdened with the single I think there is a value to try with double which is really in form.
