Boston Bruins made four victories in a row and have taken second place in the Northeast Division. Before tonight's match they will be faced with the fact that they did not win five consecutive games at any point last season. But, more important thing for them is that they got another great goalie. Tim Thomas, a very experienced 36-year-old, is off to the best start of any goaltender in the League. He's 4-0-0 with a 0.75 goals-against average and .978 save percentage. In the last four matches, on which Thomas was starter, Bruins allowed only three goals and scored eleven. They already have excellent goalie, Tuukka Rask, and coach Claude Julien is on the sweet torment. Except of that, his team is complete, without injured or suspended players.
On the other side, Rangers had a three-game losing streak after that they won in Toronto, 2:1. But, for that match they turned to backup goaltender Martin Biron, who in his first start of the season made 24 saves. Rangers scored only three goals on the previous two matches. Now, they will have additional problem since they are without injured forwards Marian Gaborik (shoulder), Vinny Prospal (knee) and Chris Drury (finger).
Rangers scored more than 2 goals in Boston only eight times on the last 22 matches. It's another good reason for this bet.
