Free Soccer prediction for Premier League:
Blackburn VS Wigan

Blackburn VS Wigan match analysis

Today I am again with a team which is desirous of victory at home. Blackburn Rovers had only one home victory, 1:0 against Everton in the first round. After that, they achieved only one more victory, 2:1 in Blackpool, but at home only two draws and two defeats. But, it should bear in mind that two guests were Arsenal and Chelsea, while we cannot say that other two, Fulham and Sunderland, are weak teams. On the contrary, Fulham has been this year  League Europe finalists, while Sunderland is unpleasant team, with even six draws, and only two defeats in the previous ten rounds. On the last match, against Chelsea, Blackburn had good performance and with more luck could have achieved a better result. For today's, Rovers have some unknowns about composition of the team. Defender Gael Givet is probably out because of injury, Midfielder Steven Nzonzi could be absent, too, while midfielder El-Hadji Diouf and defender Martin Olsson will most likely still be ready for this match. Wigan had catastrophic start, with debacles at home, 0:4 against Blackpool and 0:6 against Chelsea. After that, the team have become more serious, they won Tottenham in London, Wolves at home, and played four matches draw, two at home and two away from home. Also, they lost at home against Manchester City and against Fulham in London. The last league match, against Fulham, was their only defeat away from home. For today's match they are without midfielder James McCarthy and likely without defender Emmerson Boyce. In the previous five season they played ten matches against each other, and Wigan did not win in Blackburn. On the contrary, they won only twice, both victories were at home, while Blackburn won six times and one match ended tied, last year in Wigan.  I watched Blackburn twice in this season, and I got the impression that this is a solid team that can play an equally against strong teams of the Premier League, which they demonstrated on the matches against Arsenal and Chelsea. Wigan is the real opponent to end the series of four games without a victory.
