The price on Phillips here is too high considering how the two have done here so far. While you could say that Waites was good at the beginning of his match against Stompe, he soon lost the plot and almost the match. Phillips, on the other hand, was impressive from the start right until the finish line. He averaged an amazing 96.79 and was not scared by Lewis - he just played his game and even commented after the game that he is able to play even better.
On the other hand, Waites averaged solid 93 - good, but he still has his lapses on the stage, while Phillips can block the crowd out. The real clincher, however, is the price here. After all, it is a "first to five" match - and in such a short format, I am always looking for solid prices on the underdogs. And I do not even consider Phillips to be the underdog here! Tremendous value in my opinion, although I do realize that Waites was the surprise runner-up here last year. Nevertheless, we get 2.25 on a 50/50 match, so why not get on the bet?
