It will be a tough match, not only for these teams, but for betting, too. Kings are in difficult situation, after three consecutive defeats, where is yesterday's defeat against Buffalo, too. It was their first defeat against a team from Eastern Conference after five victories against them. They are in the most difficult situation from the beginning of the season, since before that black series they had only 3 defeats in 15 games, but not one was linked for the other one. However, these defeats show that they have not been so brilliant away from home, because they lost 4 of 5 matches as visitors. All five matches were lost with handicap, even that one at home, 3.5 against Columbus.
Bruins had a bit weaker output in the previous part of the season. They had excellent start, with 7 victories in the first 9 rounds, but after that they became worse, till the previous three rounds. At home, Bruins lost 5 of overall 6 defeats in this season. After three consecutive defeats at home, Bruins won the previous two home matches, both with shutout - 3:0 against New Jersey and, yesterday, 4:0 against Florida. Among those two matches, they won against very good Rangers in New York, on a silly match, with a lot of mistakes of players of both teams. Bruins had, in my opinion, the best NHL goalie, Tim Thomas with GAA 1.37 and Sv% .959. Generally, defensive line has operated very well, that it is team with the least conceded goals in NHL, and at home in Eastern Conference, too. On the other hand, LA Kings are in crisis. Their defeats in the previous three games did not come as results of bad luck, but all three were with handicap, and two away even with -2.5. Kings have also excellent goalie, Quick, who played three matches against Bruins, and had all three victories, GAA 2.33 and Sv% .912.
Kings are tonight without injured, not that important forward, Parse. Bruins are still without center Krejci and now without not that much important center Savard.
These teams ended the previous three matches against each other tied within 60, and at the end Kings won all three, one in OT and two after penalties. Tim Thomas appeared for Bruins in all three games and had overall outcome GAA 2.36, Sv% .921.
Taking excellent form of the team, goalie Thomas and forward Lucic into consideration, I expect Bruins to exploit bad form of the Kings and with tonight's victory collect payment for the previous three defeats, at least in the same way.
