Berdych is continuing his horrible run at the end of the season and he was once again just a shadow of what he was in the first half of the year against Djokovic. Roddick, on the other hand, should have probably won against Nadal, as he was 3-2 up in the tiebreak with two servers. Somehow, it did not happen, but he will surely bounce back. He will get a lot of cheap points on his serve - he was able to do that against Nadal, one of the best returners, so why should it be a problem against an average returner that Tomas Berdych definitely is. Berdych lacks confidence, belief, mindset, everything. He has the quality to beat Roddick, but 1.93 is too good a price on 0-2 scoreline if we remember his results lately. Roddick also leads the head-to-head record quite comfortably, six matches to just two. Last two wins this year ended with close wins, 7-6 7-6 and 7-5 6-4, but that was when Berdych was in spectacular form (in Miami, he beat Federer, Verdasco and Soderling before losing to Roddick). Now, however, the result should be more comfortable.
