Wiener Neustadt hosts Wattens in round 7 of the Erste Liga. I would have liked to add a bit of info but the teams aren`t providing anything. Wiener Neustadt is leading the league with 16 points and 5-1-0 so far. They have kept it really tight and conceded only 2 goals thus far. Neustadt had to deal this season with the selling of striker Gschweidl, Sittsam, Djuric, Rakowitz but brought in quality replacements from Lask, Ried, Salzburg and especially Salihi from Skenderbeu. He already scored 4 goals in 6 matches. The players look like a well trained team so far and width a decent budget they re trully a favorit for promotion. Every thing works great as they won over FAC, Hartberg, Austria, BW Linz and Ried. Wattens is ranked 7`th and have been very uncovincing and mostly just bad. With 2-0-4 and 6:8 gd difference the only thing they can be glad is that they haven`t conceded many goals. The only bright spot was their away win over Liefering but even then the hosts were better most of the time. With losses to Hartberg, FAC, Wacker and Lustenau Wattens have fallen a lot on the table and have lost the early confidence they had. With those losses they also lost in the cup to a low league side of Bad Gleichenberg. They can`t say much is going for them this season. Against the rampant and very efficient hosts I see Wattens having a tough time today. Watens has the attacker Zangerl suspended today while Brandner is injured for Neustadt(from the available info). The teams met 4 times so far and Neustadt won 3 of those. With the bad form of the visitors I see Neustadt wining this one.
