You are here

The start of the new season of the English Premier League is just a few days away and we've already presented you with a few betting previews, but let's take a closer look at what's happened in the last few weeks and what's changed in terms of outright betting.

On the transfer front, it's already become clear that Cech is set to do wonders for Arsenal, while another big signing could still be in the making if the latest rumors are correct. The Gunners could do with a superstar on a few positions, but the team will be compact even if Wenger stays back on that front. Chelsea will be starting the new season without many changes and should therefore remain as strong as ever.

Manchester United will have to do without Robin Van Persie, who's departed for Fenerbahçe Istanbul. On the upside, however, they've signed three very talented footballers in Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, and Matteo Darmian, so there shouldn't be a lack of firepower going forward. Manchester City are the biggest unknown from the big four with plenty of changes in the squad, so we'll have to see how it goes in order to evaluate the new side. Raheem Sterling did look good in some of the friendlies, however.

As far as the other teams are concerned, we would like to point out that Crystal Palace, the team that we're tipping to go really well in the upcoming season, have already strengthened their squad by signing Patrick Bamford and Yohan Cabaye. Connor Wickham is also joining the team, which means that they should now be ready to go and build on their last season's successes.

Last Sunday, Arsenal beat Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Community Shield, a major milestone for both the team and Arsène Wenger, which has naturally led several bookies to adjust the odds for the English Premier League betting. TitanBet, for example, are now offering 4.50 for Wenger to lead his team to glory, while Mourinho's men are still leading the pack at 2.50.
