The Jamaican team has managed to do the nearly unthinkable in the Gold Cup 2015, having beaten the main favorites for the title, the United States, in regulation time, and it will now face Mexico in a match that could lift the nation to completely new footballing heights. What are the chances of that happening?

Well, before the tournament, we would say that the chances are very low indeed, but the team has been upsetting everyone since the very first match and it is clear that the new coach has done wonders for the team, which is now surprisingly good as far as the tactics are concerned and which is also combining that with some free-flowing football that one would come to expect from the national Jamaican team. The Mexicans, on the other hand, were rather lucky to get past Panama in the semis, and their attack does look surprisingly toothless at the moment, so we just can't recommend backing them in the finals. Looking at the odds at Bet365, the double chance bet on Jamaica on Draw looks like the right bet to us at 1.83.

In the other match, we fancy the United States to get their act together and to basically steamroll Panama, who are worse than the USA in virtually every single facet of the game. The disappointment of losing the semis will be great, but the team is experienced enough to shake that off and they won't want to leave the tournament empty-handed, especially given all the hype the team has been getting in recent months, especially after all those impressive friendlies it's played. Bet365 have the -1AH bet priced above evens, so that's what we're going to recommend in the battle for the third place.

Our selections:

Jamaica or Draw (vs. Mexico) at 1.83 @ Bet365

USA (-1AH) to beat Panama at 2.02 @ Bet365
