Montreal Canadiens VS Buffalo Sabres match analysis

I already wrote that Montreal Canadiens impressed me, not only with play, but with the atmosphere on stands, too. There is fantastic Carey Price on Canadiens' goal, who fans booed at the beginning to, since they could not file a departure of Halak. However, very soon he has become a favorite of the fans. He deserved that thanks to great saves. In this season, the young Canadian had the most appearances among NHL goaltenders (21), the most victories (13), saves (586) and shutouts (4). At the moment, he has the fourth Sv% (.933) and the fifth GAA (2.00). In the previous five games he had three victories (two shutouts and once one allowed goal). Within the last four defeats he allowed three goals, on each, and the last three of those were on road. He did not play on yesterday's match in Atlanta that Canadiens lost, 0:3. They lost nine matches in this season, even five at home, but they linked two defeats only once, the first of them being away from home and the second time at home. After three lost matches Montreal won on the next with shutout, three times with one and twice with two allowed goals. Buffalo Sabres were not much efficient lately. They scored only 3 goals on the last three matches. Anyway, thanks to earlier games, they achieved solid number of scored goals - 61 in 24 games, but 33 on 11 on road. These two teams met twice in this season, and Montreal won both as visitor, 2:1 and 3:2. Price was on Canadiens' goal on both matches and achieved outcome - GAA 1.50, Sv% .944. Tonight, Miller will be again on goal of Buffalo Sabres, but recently he had problems with groin injury. He did not play yesterday, against Maple Leafs, and I am not sure that he fully recovered from injury. It is possible that Patrick Lalime, who had very poor performance this season, replace him tonight. Also, Buffalo will be without three forwards in this game - Stafford, Niedemayer and Connolly (all three with overall 9 goals and 18 assists), while defender Markov is only injured at Montreal. In the past, Buffalo surprised Canadiens in Bell Centre, but those were different teams, and in these occasions I think that Montreal will win tonight, at least after OT or penalties, and a key of the success as usually should be great Price.
