The Surprise Team of the NFC West

One of the surprise teams this season is the Arizona Cardinals. They finished last season 10-6 but missed the playoffs. Even though they had such a good season, the Cards were overlooked because they finished third in their division. This year however, through six weeks, Arizona is 4-1 and in first place. Could they keep it up?

What happened to The Saints?

The New Orleans Saints' 2013 season ended earlier than they would've liked. To improve the team, New Orleans signed coveted free agent safety Jairus Byrd to a six-year $56 million contract. He was expected to push this team to the next level. Many preseason picks had the Saints coming out of the NFC to play in the Super Bowl. But after five games, the team is 2-3. Their record looks A LOT better than they've been playing. The team is lucky to be 2-3. The team is in trouble and following their bye week, will have a nearly impossible six game stretch.

They Aren’t Who We Thought They Were

The Dallas Cowboys were expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this year. They lost a number of key defensive players on a defense that was already one of the worst. The offense has the weapons to win but they haven't. Each of the last three season the Cowboys finished the year with a record of 8-8. This year Dallas wasn't even supposed to get 8 wins, but a quarter of the season in, and they already have 3.

The Best Running Backs

Before the 2014 season started, the consensus top running backs were Adrian Peterson, LeSean McCoy, Jamaal Charles, Matt Forte and Marshawn Lynch. But, so far, the five of them have not been playing well, or playing at all. Peterson is not playing again anytime soon. McCoy is not running well because his offensive line is decimated. Charles is recovering from a high ankle sprain. Forte just hasn't looked the same. Lynch has played extremely well so far. Some younger backs have stepped up to replace them and who knows, maybe they'll be top five backs this season.

The 2012 Draft Class

The 2012 NFL Draft was heralded as one of the best quarterback classes ever. The class was led by the "franchise game-changer" Andrew Luck who was the consensus top pick in the draft. Right behind him though, prospect 1b, was Robert Griffin III. Two more quarterbacks were selected in the first round, Ryan Tannehill and Brandon Weeden. But, none of them have what every player wants, a Super Bowl ring. The sixth QB drafted though, Russell Wilson, already has a ring. After Wilson was drafted, two more current starting quarterbacks were drafted, Nick Foles and Kirk Cousins. How many rings can this class as a whole  win?
